Cattle Point Lighthouse

Washington State is full of small and large islands. The largest cluster of islands sits about 2 hours north of Seattle, called the San Juan Islands. If you’re in the Seattle area for more than a day (it’s a 4 hour drive round-tip), San Juan Island is a great place to visit!

This photo is of the Cattle Point Lighthouse on San Juan island. The lighthouse was constructed in 1888 and overlooks the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

You can park along the street, it’s not busy at all, and walk to the lighthouse. You’ll see amazing cliffs on your walk but be careful! As with all cliffs, you don’t want to be too close, never know the situation of the ground around it.

Be assured, you’ll get tons of great photos!
