Best Thai in Seattle Metro. Period.
May Kitchen, Vahson Island
Interesting story on how I found this place. Seven months into living here in Seattle, I was on a business flight to the East coast and I was chatting with the woman next to me. She mentioned being new to the area that I HAD to try May Kitchen. The woman sitting on the other side of me heard us talking and now all of us are in a conversation about all the places I needed to try. Before you know it, we land back on talking about May Kitchen and both woman tell me that when I got back from the trip, this has to be the very next place to try.
Being a foodie, when folks are passionate about a restaurant and sell it hard, I always have to check it out. Let me tell you, they were 100% right. Almost 10 years later, I’ve taken approx. 50 people to Vashon Island to have an amazing dinner.
Few things to know about May Kitchen:
The staff is AMAZING. Super friendly, genuinely happy that you’re there.
The food is HANDS DOWN authentic, fresh, and seasoned perfectly.
The bar is a great place for a group of friends to talk and eat.
The new seating outside is great for groups.
The entire menu is good but you must try the green curry (Gaeng Khiao Wann). Trust me on this one.
Tell one of the owners Tom that Sean from Seattle sent you. You’re in good hands!
